The annual Coachella pilgrimage is upon us…

Over two weekends (April 11-13 and 18-20), hordes of hungry music-lovers will flock to the California desert to sweat it out, see their favorite bands, spend way too much money on bottles of water, camp, mingle, shimmy, shake, and revelry in one of the world’s most beloved music festivals.

And typically, over the course of those two weekends, there’s ancillary events going down, too. Mostly pool parties during the day – a way to beat the heat. But the folks at the Palm Springs Surf Club are hosting something a little different from the average Coachella-adjacent chlorinated soiree.

Introducing, the Goldenvoice Surf Club:

“This April, Goldenvoice brings a new rhythm to the Palm Springs Surf Club, transforming it into a daytime outpost of music, wellness, and sport. Centered around a thoughtfully curated music lineup in the amphitheater, the experience extends beyond the stage—offering wave pool sessions, wellness activations, and resort-style relaxation. Whether you're dancing, unwinding, or diving into the experience, Surf Club is where music, movement, and the spirit of the desert come together.”

Hosted by the PSSC, the festivities will take place during both weekends of Coachella (April 12-13 and 19-20), during which, daily expression sessions will be happening in the pool. In other words, pro surfers will be shredding, while other attendees will be partying. And there’s prizes, too.

SURFER staff will be on the ground covering the madness, and judging the expression sessions. Judging for what? A prize purse of $4k will be divvied up amongst the surfers based on:

Best Air

Best Wave (or combo)

Most Creative

There might be a few surprises when it comes to that last one – think: inflatable disco balls, acid drops into the pool, alternative crafts, innovative aerials...Stay tuned for that.

Oh yeah, it's a pool party, right? There’s gotta be music involved. Headliners on the decks across the two weekends will include Sammy Virji, Sara Landry, Polo y Pan (DJ set), Eli Brown, and many others.
