Mick Fanning is a business, man. He’s got his hands in so many different ventures, it’s hard to list ‘em all. From beer brands (Balter; sold for over $100 million) to soft surfboards, and more.
But some of the best business out there, as many will tell ya, is real estate.
And one of Fanning’s properties just sold for an undisclosed amount.
Per RealEstate.com.au:
“Surf legend Mick Fanning’s designer beachside home has sold in a hushed big-ticket deal after making waves as the most viewed property scheduled to go under the hammer this weekend.
“But the auction date was scrapped as a frenzy to claim the keys erupted, with a cash buyer eventually successful following a “multiple offer situation”, said marketing agent Emisha Canning, of Coastal.
“The three-time world champion surfer’s unique Tugun investment property, built around an indoor skate ramp, had attracted huge interest through the campaign, with more clicks on realestate.com.au than any other property in the nation scheduled for auction this week.”
Built in 2018, the property does feature a skate ramp as its centerpiece, followed by a pool, plenty of outdoor space, bespoke interior décor, three large bedrooms, two bathrooms, and more.
Although the property sold in 2021 for $3 million, and the selling price this time around is unknown, it’s understood that there was a hefty profit made.
As for Mick, when it comes to business, he recently talked about it in an interview:
“Over the next 20 years, I want to take my family on surfing trips and do as little work as possible,” he said. “I’d love to show them the world that I was lucky enough to explore as a professional surfer.”
Pays to be a world champ.
