Strong westerly to southwesterly winds with near gale force gusts will continue throughout the rest of the day. Winds will weaken slightly overnight before strong winds with gale force gusts develop during the day on Friday and continue into the weekend. Scattered showers are moving through the coastal waters with rain continuing through the weekend. Peak wave heights between 15 to 20 feet are expected Friday into Saturday. Conditions over the waters will be hazardous for small craft and gale warnings have been issued starting Friday afternoon into Saturday afternoon. Come the beginning of the next work week, conditions begin to dry out and winds ease, becoming more westerly. NOAA

SW winds 20 to 30 knots. Wind waves 10 to 12 ft. NW swell 12 to 14 ft at 14 seconds. Rain and a slight chance of thunderstorms.

FRI NIGHT
W winds 20 to 30 knots with gusts up to 45 knots. Wind waves 10 to 12 ft. NW swell 15 to 17 ft at 15 seconds. Showers and a chance of thunderstorms.

SAT
W winds 15 to 25 knots with gusts up to 35 knots. Wind waves 10 to 12 ft. W swell 14 to 16 ft at 14 seconds. Showers and a chance of thunderstorms.

SAT NIGHT
W winds 15 to 20 knots with gusts up to 30 knots. Wind waves 8 to 10 ft. W swell 13 to 15 ft at 14 seconds. Showers likely and a chance of thunderstorms.

SUN
NW winds 10 to 20 knots with gusts up to 25 knots. Wind waves 3 to 4 ft. NW swell 10 to 12 ft and S around 2 ft.
