The surf sponsorship landscape is far from an easy space to navigate as a professional surfer but there's always an opportunity if you have the right mindset. Ever since defeating Carissa Moore to win Pipe Pro in 2022 Moana Jones Wong has been making waves beyond the North Shore and she has just joined a new platform to share her journey.

She now joins Nathan Florence, Billy Kemper, Pedro Scooby, and others as an official OnlyFans athlete--not exactly what OnlyFans is known for but there's no doubt that her content will be as wholesome as her character. While several criticized her decision, they know not what it's like to be a pro surfer in 2025 and, personally speaking, I think she handled it all brilliantly. Let's dive in...

The announcement on Instagram elicited a lot of snarky remarks from the peanut gallery--defined as "people who criticize someone, often by focusing on insignificant details"--who tried to judge her on things like her IG bio saying "Glory to God" being in contrast to joining a platform like OnlyFans. The irony is that Instragram can be its own cesspool of terrible content--from divisive to disgusting--yet they are all on there, trying to pass judgement on a young lady who lives by example not just virtue signaling.

Moana has been quick to respond honorably, "For me, being a woman of faith doesn’t mean hiding from the world, it means showing up in it with love, purpose, and respect. I can share my craft and still keep my values front and center." Spoken like a true wise woman; she rises above rather than stooping to a low level so commonplace on internet chats.

To be fair, plenty of voices chimed in with full support and praise for her decision, not just to join the platform, but as to how she lives her life as a woman of faith and role model to many young women.

The user @_kimonakai saying, "Moanalani always sharing the Stoke with all the girls in and out of the water. So many Groms look up to you and want to know what is the key to success by you sharing your training and surf tips with them I’m sure it will help the generations to come."

Moana has increasingly dedicated herself to use her influence to inspire others and stand up for Hawaiian culture, land, and language, and has even earned a degree in Hawaiian and Indigenous Health and Healing. Since her breakthrough in 2022 she doubled down with another victory in 2023 at the Vans Pipe Masters and continues to push the boundaries for women in heavy surf, earning the respect of any and all who see her charge.

Today, she runs the Moana Surf Club, a mentorship program for young women and surfers and will certainly be bringing that type of energy to her new platform. In addition to being the Queen of Pipeline, she may now very well be the Classiest Lady onOnlyFans.

While everyone is entitled to their own opinion, throwing shade at Moana isn't warranted lest you forget that only God can judge.
