“Eithan is the kinda surfer that runs out to the session whether it's onshore and 2 foot or offshore and 12 foot,” reads the video description written by the Chapter 11 TV overlords. “He'll catch 50 waves before you even get out the back, already have bagged clips, spray you in the face and still say it sucks out here!”

Eithan Osborne’s sporadic on-rail energy, while it may not translate aesthetically to every surfer, is directly influenced by another Ventura regularfoot. Shades of Dane Reynold’s aggressive, unapologetic, uncompromising power are evident in young Eithan’s approach (How’s that club sandwich at 5:03?).

Eithan’s “Lost Pinterest" is another direct reference to a previous Dane project. Premiering in 2013, “Lost Interest” featured Mick Fanning, Shane Dorian, Alex Knost and Paul Fisher (yes, that Fisher) scoring warm waves in Mexico. Even though he was coming off a high ankle sprain, Dane frankly stole the show with a barrage of high-speed hacks.

While “Lost Pinterest" is not Eithan’s most impactful work (see Skinny Meat Head for that), it’s got the ingredients for an entertaining web clip. Good waves, good music, good surfing. A couple air, a handful of barrels, and more than a few all-or-nothing carves. Somehow it's refreshing and familiar at the same time.
