2026 U.S. Open mixed doubles draw is set

The mixed doubles draw for the 2026 U.S. Open was finalized on Monday, with two teams earning the last pair of spots in qualifying. Katerina Siniakova of Czechia and Henry Patten of the United Kingdom and Erin Routliffe of New Zealand and Lloyd Glasspool of the U.K., advanced to the main draw with two wins on Monday.

Married couple Gael Monfils of France and Elina Svitolina of Ukraine will open the Mixed Doubles main draw against Alexandra Eala of the Philippines and Felix Auger-Aliassime of Canada at 10 a.m. Eastern Daylight Time at Louis Armstrong Stadium.

The top-seeded team of Aryna Sabalenka of Belarus and Novak Djokovic of Serbia will begin play at Arthur Ashe Stadium at 11 a.m. EDT against Glaspool and Routliffe. Glaspool and Routliffe and Patten and Siniakova will play three matches in less than 24 hours after playing twice on Monday to qualify for the main draw.

Patten is the co-number one ranked doubles player on the ATP Tour with partner Harri Heliovarra of Finland. Amazingly, Heliovarra is not competing in the mixed doubles. Glaspool is ranked 17th in doubles on the ATP Tour. Siniakova is the top-ranked WTA doubles player, while Routliffe is 14th.

The winners of Djokovic-Sabalenka and Patten-Siniakova will play the victor of Auger-Aliassime, Eala and Monfils-Svitolina in the Mixed Doubles quarterfinals on Tuesday. The Quarterfinal winners advance to the Semifinals on Wednesday night.

Belinda Bencic of Switzerland and Francisco Cobolli of Italy are the fourth-seeded team and will play Taylor Townsend of the United States and Alexander Zverev of Germany. Zverev is the top seed in singles, and Townsend is the second-ranked WTA doubles player.

The winner of that match plays against whoever emerges from the blockbuster team of Carlos Alcaraz and Serena Williams against Glasspool and Routliffe. This match will not start before 2 p.m. EDT.

Jakub Mensik and Karolina Muchova of Czechia will play lucky losers Marcelo Arevalo and Kristina Mladenovic in the second match on Armstrong. The All-American matchup of Emma Navarro and Tommy Paul against Amanda Anisimova and Learner Tien will be the next match, with the winners playing in the quarterfinals.

The final quarter of the draw has Mirra Andreeva and Andrey Rublev of Russia playing the Italian defending US Open Mixed Doubles champions, Sara Errani and Andrea Vavassori. The other first-round match is Diana Snaider of Russia and Casper Ruud of Denmark against Americans Jessica Pegula and Taylor Fritz.

Snaider replaced Iga Swiatek, who teamed with Ruud to finish as the runners-up in 2025. Swiatek cited needing more time to rest. Errani and Vavassori are the only team returning from 2025. Several other players are competing in the mixed doubles again, but playing with new partners in 2026.
