The semi-final line-up is all but confirmed at Internationaux de Strasbourg as unfortunately Anna Kalinskaya has had to withdraw from the tournament.

Not noted why she has had to withdraw Kalinskaya has had a long history with illness and injury and so it wouldn't be unexpected if that was part of the reasoning. But it means that Danielle Collins eases straight through to the semi-finals.

Collins saw off Emma Raducanu in a comeback win on Wednesday and followed that up with this win by walkover and now is one game away from defending her final points from last year and averting a huge ranking drop.

She will face the winner of Paula Badosa and Liudmila Samsonova which is currently into a deciding set. While in the other half, Elena Rybakina keeps on rolling.

She saw off Magda Linette and now faces Beatriz Haddad Maia who came from behind to see off Emma Navarro. The Brazilian who has been in no form this season has suddenly caught light again to start clay.

She won 3-6, 7-6, 6-2 against the American and now faces Rybakina who is into a chance for a much needed title in the semi-final and on paper would be the favourite for the title given her stature.

But Collins perhaps is the other favourite given she reached the final last year and recently showed excellence in seeing off Iga Swiatek in Rome. Also she plays one less game due to Kalinskaya's walkover.
