ATP Australian Open 1/64-Finals

Dimitrov – Machac: Time TBA
H2H: 0-1

Grigor Dimitrov has lost three of his last five matches. Last week in Brisbane, Dimitrov lost to Collignon in straight sets. He is one of the most experienced players in the draw. Last season, Dimitrov retired against Passaro in the opening round. His most significant result was in 2017, when he lost to Nadal in the semifinals.

Tomas Machac has won four of his last five matches. He has never made it past the third round at the Australian Open. Last season, Machac lost to Djokovic in the third round in straight sets.

Best Bet to Make

According to the bookies, this will be an almost 50-50 matchup, but we disagree. Dimitrov struggled with injuries for the past few seasons. On the other hand, Machac had a great run in Adelaide and enjoys playing on fast courts. We expect Machac to be a better player.

That being said, Machac winning is a value bet.

Value bet/ the best odds: Tomas Machac winning @1.73 @bet365

Djere – Wawrinka: 19.01.2026 04:30 CEST
H2H: 1-2

Laslo Djere has won three of his last five matches. So far this season, Djere has only played in Hong Kong, where he lost to Giron in the opening round in straight sets. He has never made it past the second round here. Last season, he lost to Garin in the second qualifying round.

Stanislas Wawrinka has lost four of his last five matches. He reached the final with Switzerland in the United Cup. This season in Melbourne, Wawrinka has been granted a wild card. Last season at the Australian Open, he lost to Sonego in the opening round in four tight sets.

Best Bet to Make

According to the bookies, this will be an almost 50-50 matchup, but we disagree. Wawrinka is fit and will be ready for the opening match. Djere struggles on fast courts and has no weapons for Wawrinka. We expect a one-sided match.

That being said, Wawrinka winning is a value bet.

Value bet/ the best odds: Stanislas Wawrinka winning @1.80 @bet365

Martinez – Djokovic: 19.01.2026 10:30 CEST
H2H: first meeting

Pedro Martinez has won five straight matches. Last week in Bengaluru, Martinez played in a Challenger Tournament where he defeated Skatov in the final in straight sets. Last season at the Australian Open, the Spaniard lost to Zverev in the second round in straight sets.

Novak Djokovic has won four of his last five matches. So far this season, Djokovic has not played any competitive matches. The Serb is a ten-time champion at the Australian Open. He retired mid-match against Zverev in the semifinals.

Best Bet to Make

According to the bookies, Djokovic is the clear favourite in this matchup and we agree. Martinez has no chance against Djokovic in Melbourne. The Serb will have a crowd on his side and this might be his last Australian Open. We expect him to give his best and win easily.

That being said, Djokovic covering the games handicap is a value bet.

Value bet/ the best odds: Novak Djokovic -8.5 games handicap @1.83 @bet365
