ATP Masters 1000 Cincinnati quarterfinals

Sinner – Auger-Aliassime: 14.08.2025 21:00 CEST
H2H: 0-3

Jannik Sinner has won nine straight matches. The last match he played before the ATP Cincinnati was at Wimbledon, where he defeated Alcaraz in the final in four sets. Sinner is the defending champion in Cincinnati. Last season, the Italian defeated Tiafoe in the final in straight sets. This week, he demolished Galan in the opening round in straight sets. In the second round, Sinner won against Diallo in straight sets. He lost his serve at the beginning of the match; other than that, Sinner dominated on his serve. Yesterday in the 1/8-Finals, Mannarino fought hard, but the Italian still won in tight straight sets.

Felix Auger-Aliassime has won three of his last five matches. Last week in Toronto, the Canadian lost against Marozsan in the opening round in straight sets. This week, he defeated Etcheverry in straight sets comfortably in the opening round. He was great under pressure, saving all four breakpoints. Rinderknech retired mid-match against him in the third round. Yesterday in the 1/8-Finals, the Canadian dominated against Bonzi, winning in straight sets.

Best Bet to Make

According to the bookies, Auger-Aliassime is the big underdog in this matchup, but we disagree. Sinner has not played many competitive matches for the past few weeks. On the other hand, Auger-Aliassime dominated this week in Cincinnati and leads 3-0 in head-to-head meetings against Sinner. We expect him to keep this match tight.

That being said, Auger-Aliassime covering the games handicap is a value bet.

Value bet/ the best odds: Felix Auger-Aliassime +4.5 games handicap @1.83 @bet365

Shelton – Lehecka: 14.08.2025 22:30 CEST
H2H: 1-0

Ben Shelton has won eight straight matches. Last week in Toronto, Shelton won the Masters 1000 title. He defeated Khachanov in the final in three tight sets. This week in Cincinnati, Ugo Carabelli retired mid-match in the opening match against Shelton. In the third round, the American defeated Bautista-Agut in straight sets. He was great under pressure, saving all six breakpoints.

Jiri Lehecka has won four of his last five matches. Last week in Toronto, Lehecka lost to Fritz in the 1/8-Finals in three tight sets. This week in Cincinnati, the Czech lost the opening set to Boyer 4-6, but turned the match around, eventually winning in three sets. In the third round, Lehecka defeated Walton in two tiebreaks. He served well throughout the match, offering only one breakpoint and hitting 17 aces. Walton fumbled under pressure in both tiebreaks.

Best Bet to Make

According to the bookies, this will be an almost 50-50 matchup, but we disagree. Shelton is in great form and one of the best hard-court players on the tour at this moment. Earlier this season, Shelton defeated Lehecka in straight sets. He dominated this week, and we expect him to be confident coming into this match.

That being said, Shelton winning is a value bet.
