Novak Djokovic will become the third man in the Open Era to win 100 career titles if he lifts the ATP Geneva Open title on Saturday. Standing between him and that remarkable feat is Hubert Hurkacz. The Pole reached his first final since June 2024. Who will come out on top in one of the last clay-court tournaments before the French Open?

ATP Geneva Final Prediction

Novak Djokovic vs Hubert Hurkacz

Head-to-head: Djokovic 7-0 Hurkacz

From the moment Djokovic hit his first ball this week, it was inevitable he would at least reach the final. Djokovic wasted no time in dismissing Marton Fucsovics to pick up his first win of this year’s clay swing. He followed that up with another commanding 6-4 6-4 win against Matteo Arnaldi and in the process, he avenged his loss to the Italian in Madrid. Djokovic’s sternest test came in the semifinal, where he was stretched to three sets by British lefty Cameron Norrie. Djokovic fumbled with his first match point in the second set tie-break but prevailed convincingly in the end 6-4 6-7 6-1. This will be his second final of 2025.

Hubert Hurkacz advanced to his first Tour-level final of the season. The Polish player came to Geneva as the sixth seed. His ranking (31st) suffered significant damage after some below-par results and injuries before the clay season. Hurkacz played himself into form in Rome this past week, where he reached the quarterfinals. And he brought that level to Geneva. Hurkacz has not lost a set all week and caused the biggest upset of the tournament so far by knocking out top seed Taylor Fritz.

It almost feels like a date with destiny for Djokovic, who has had an up-and-down season. But all of that will be forgotten should he get his hands on his 100th career title. He’s locked in for this moment, and it would take an extraordinary performance from Hurkacz to deny him that spectacular achievement.
Prediction: Djokovic in 2
