To no one’s surprise, given its odd placement in the calendar, this week’s ATP event in Kitzbuhel doesn’t exactly feature a stat studded field, with only one top 30 player in the draw. Still, it does feature a lot of players who specialize on clay and will do everything for what might be their last opportunity to gain some big points in 2025, so this is sure to be an interesting tournament to watch nonetheless and this day 3 should feature plenty of exciting action. We have predictions for all of the matches in Austria this week.

ATP Kitzbuhel Day 3 Predictions

Jan-Lennard Struff vs Pedro Martinez

Head-to-head: Struff 2-1 Martinez

Both players had nice runs to the third round at Wimbledon, only losing to Sinner and Alcaraz (the two eventual finalists) at that stage. While Struff’s performance was far more impressive than Martinez’s on the Wimbledon grass, the latter specializes in these smaller clay tournaments, which are the source of most of his ranking points. Considering the surface, he might well find a way to grind his way past Struff in a very hard fought match.

Prediction: Martinez in 3

Arthur Rinderknech vs Norbert Gombos

Head-to-head: first meeting

Although his campaign ended with a very disappointing loss as a favorite against Majchrzak, Rinderknech recorded the biggest win of his career at Wimbledon when he beat world #3 Alexander Zverev in five sets in the first round, so he will certainly have some confidence right now. At this point in their respective careers, Rinderknech seems to be a few levels above Gombos, even on clay, and should pull through here.

Prediction: Gombos in 2

Alexander Bublik vs Thiago Agustin Tirante

Head-to-head:

first meeting

His disappointing loss to Munar at Wimbledon nonwithstanding, Bublik is having easily the best period of his career at the moment, with titles in Halle (beating Sinner and Medvedev) and last week in Gstaad, as well as a run to the quarterfinals at Roland Garros. That said, he’s still highly inconsistent and the chances that he will pull off two consecutive great weeks seem to be quite slim. Tirante specializes on clay and might just take advantage of Bublik’s Gstaad title hangover to pull through here.

Prediction: Tirante in 3
