The stars of the ATP Tour will trek to the Miami Open to compete in the second Masters 1000 tournament of the calendar. World #1 Carlos Alcaraz leads the 96-player singles draw.
Alcaraz is one of six players in the field who has lifted the Miami Open title, including Czech rising star Jakub Mensik, who stunned six-time champion Novak Djokovic in last year’s final to win his first Masters trophy. The tournament has compiled the list of wild card entrants for this year’s event, which begins on Wednesday, March 19.
Darwin Blanch received a wild card in the tournament for a second time. Blanch made his Masters 1000 debut in Miami two years ago as a 16-year-old and lost in the first round to Tomas Machac. Now 18, he arrives in Miami on the back of a 6-6 record in 2026.
The second home player to receive a wild card is 22-year-old lefty Martin Damm. Damm made the third round on his main draw debut in 2024. After a promising start to 2026 in which he qualified for the Australian Open and reached his first ATP semifinal in Montpellier, Damm has lost his last three matches.
ATP NextGen star Moise Kouame is the third wild card in the men’s draw. The 17-year-old Frenchman has impressed this year, winning two ITF titles and breaking the world’s top 400. Joining Kouame is another NextGen talent, Rei Sakamoto, who qualified for the main draw in Miami last season. This time, the 19-year-old Japanese will enter the main draw as a wild card.
Completing the wild card list is former Chinese #1 Wu Yibing. The injury-prone 26-year-old has competed in two main draws at the Miami Open, winning his only match against Kyle Edmund in the 2023 edition. China’s Zhang Zhizhen will play in the main draw with a protected ranking.
