The third day of the ATP Masters 1000 in Paris will begin without the top seed and World #1, Carlos Alcaraz, who was ousted by a resilient Cameron Norrie. The result opens the door for Jannik Sinner to close the gap on his great rival in the race to end the year at World #1. With several other exciting matches on the cards, we predict who will make it to the next round in Paris.

ATP Paris Day 3 Predictions

Francisco Cerundolo vs Miomir Kecmanovic

Head–to–Head: Cerundolo 2 – 0 Kecmanovic

Francisco Cerundolo has won both of their encounters, but this will be their first in a long time and the first not on clay. Kecmanovic did reveal some vulnerabilities in the second set of his last match, which Cerundolo will be eager to exploit, especially given that he has made a more seamless transition to hard courts.
Prediction: Cerundolo in 2

Alejandro Davidovich Fokina vs Arthur Cazaux

Head–to–Head:  Davidovich Fokina 1 – 0 Cazaux

Alejandro Davidovich Fokina progressed to the second round of the Paris Masters after overcoming Valentin Royer three exhilarating sets, and he is set to face Arthur Cazaux next. The Frenchman thrilled the home fans in another entertaining match, repelling everything the higher-ranked Luciano Darderi threw at him to win the encounter via two tiebreakers in just over two hours.

Davidovich Fokina leads their head-to-head. However, Cazaux will have home support and will look to pile on the pressure, but Davidovich Fokina has been in good form recently and should hold on to secure a crucial win.
Prediction: Davidovich Fokina in 2

Felix Auger-Aliassime vs Alexandre Muller

Head–to–Head: Auger-Aliassime 1 – 1 Muller

Felix Auger-Aliassime bounced back after a slow start to advance past Francisco Comesana in the opening round of the Paris Masters. The Canadian regained his composure after dropping the first set to secure a comeback win and maintain an outside chance of qualifying for Turin.

His next challenge is against Alexandre Muller, who broke a four-match losing streak with a straight-sets win over Brandon Nakashima. Despite his recent struggles, the Frenchman delivered a composed performance, not facing any breaks on his serve, and secured the win late in the second set.

Auger-Aliassime is a formidable opponent and has been one of the top players on Tour for the last couple of months. That being said, Muller will draw confidence from his first win in a while. Also, he’s won their only encounter on hard courts. If he tunes in, he is capable of upstaging the Canadian in front of the home fans.
Prediction: Muller in 3

Jannik Sinner vs Zizou Bergs

Head–to–Head: First Meeting

The Italian arrives in Paris after capturing his fourth title of the year by winning the Vienna Open for the second time in his career. With Alcaraz out, Sinner will close the gap in the race to end the year as Eorld #1 if he wins in Paris.

Even though Bergs looked solid in his win over Alex Michelsen, Sinner will be driven, as he has yet to win this tournament or a Masters 1000 event this season. He is in excellent form, making a dominant win a certain outcome.
Prediction: Sinner in 2
