No. 8 seed Tomas Machac of the Czech Republic outlasted Frenchman Ugo Humbert 6-4, 6-7 (2), 6-2 to win the Adelaide International on Saturday in Australia.

It is the second career ATP Tour title for Machac, 25, who won his first at the Mexican Open last February. He finished the match in two hours and 24 minutes and heads into the Australian Open with momentum.

Machac saved three of four break points and converted four of 12 break chances against Humbert, who posted more winners (33-28) but also far more unforced errors (46-27).

No. 3 seed Jakub Mensik of the Czech Republic needed only 82 minutes to defeat No. 7 Sebastian Baez of Argentina 6-3, 7-6 (7) to claim the title in Auckland, New Zealand.

The 20-year-old Mensik captured his second ATP Tour crown after winning his maiden title last March at the Miami Open. He heads to Melbourne looking to improve on his best finish there after making the third round in 2025.

Mensik hammered 18 aces and won an astonishing 95% (39 of 41) of the points on his first serve against Baez, who finished with only 18 winners. Mensik overcame a 6-3 deficit in the tiebreaker by fighting off three set points.
