ATP Wimbledon quarterfinals

Fritz – Khachanov: 08.07.2025 14:00 CEST
H2H: 0-2

Taylor Fritz has won eight straight matches. This week at Wimbledon, in the opening two rounds, Fritz defeated Mpetshi Perricard and Diallo in five tight sets. In the third round, he defeated Davidovich Fokina in four tight sets. He was great under pressure, saving seven out of eight breakpoints. Jordan Thompson retired mid-match against Taylor in the 1/8-Finals after being set and 0-3 down in the second set. Last season at Wimbledon, Fritz lost to Musetti in the quarterfinals, which was also his most significant result there.

Karen Khachanov has won six straight matches. This week, Khachanov defeated McDonald in the opening round at Wimbledon in straight sets.  In the second round, Khachanov trailed 1-2 against Mochizuki but turned it around. The Russian has not offered any breakpoints in the deciding set. Khachanov trailed once again 1-2 in the third round. After fighting for four hours, he turned the match around against Borges, winning in five tight sets. He trailed 2-5 in the deciding set but kept his composure and turned it around. In the 1/8-Finals, Khachanov defeated Majchrzak in straight sets comfortably. He was a better player throughout the match and deservedly won easily.

Best Bet to Make

According to the bookies, Fritz is the big favourite in this matchup, but we disagree. Khachanov played against Majchrzak without any pressure, and we expect him to do the same tomorrow as well. The Russian leads 2-0 in head-to-head meetings against Fritz and has weapons to stop him. We expect a close match that could go either way.

That being said, Khachanov covering the games handicap is a value bet.

Value bet/ the best odds: Karen Khachanov +4.5 games handicap @1.83 @bet365

Norrie – Alcaraz: 08.07.2025 16:00 CEST
H2H: 2-4

Cameron Norrie has won four of his last five matches. This week at Wimbledon, the Brit won the opening round against Bautista-Agut in four tight sets. He trailed 3-5 in the fourth set but turned it around. Norrie upset Tiafoe in the second round. After losing the opening set 4-6, the Brit stepped up his level and turned the match around. In the third round, he defeated Bellucci in straight sets. His toughest challenge came in the 1/8-Finals against Nicolas Jarry. The Brit had a chance to close out the match in the third set, but Jarry turned the match around. In the deciding fifth set, Norrie played great under pressure, saving all three breakpoints. After playing for almost five hours, Norrie won in five tight sets. Last season at Wimbledon, Norrie lost to Zverev in the third round in a tight straight sets match.

Carlos Alcaraz has won twenty-two straight matches. This week at Wimbledon, the Spaniard defeated Fognini, Tarvet, and Struff en route to the 1/8-Finals. In the 1/8-Finals, Alcaraz defeated Rublev in four tight sets after losing the opening set 6-7.

Best Bet to Make

According to the bookies, Alcaraz is the favourite in this matchup, and we agree. Norrie spent too much time in the 1/8 finals and will be exhausted. On the other hand, Alcaraz showed his best tennis this week at Wimbledon, and we expect him to dominate from start to finish tomorrow.

That being said, Alcaraz covering the games handicap is a value bet.

Value bet/ the best odds: Carlos Alcaraz -7.5 games handicap @2.00 @bet365
