ATP Wimbledon 1/8-Finals

Sinner – Dimitrov: 07.07.2025 18:00 CEST
H2H: 4-1

Jannik Sinner has won four of his last five matches. This is his sixth appearance at Wimbledon. In the opening rounds, Sinner defeated Nardi and Vukic in straight sets. In the third round, Jannik demolished Pedro Martinez in straight sets. He was great under pressure, saving four out of four breakpoints. Last season, the Italian lost against Medvedev in the quarterfinals. He has never made it past the semifinals here.

Grigor Dimitrov has won three of his last five matches. This week, he defeated Nishioka in the opening round in straight sets. In the second round, the Bulgarian won against Moutet in four tight sets. Dimitrov defeated Ofner in the third round in straight sets. In the third set, Dimitrov trailed 0-2 but turned it around. He served well, offering only three breakpoints. Last season at Wimbledon, the Bulgarian retired mid-match against Medvedev in the 1/8-Finals.

Best Bet to Make

According to the bookies, Sinner is the big favourite in this matchup, and we agree. He is unstoppable and has served great throughout the week. On the other hand, Dimitrov has had a favourable draw so far and has performed well. However, he has no weapons to match the Sinner’s game. We expect Sinner to dominate and win easily today.

That being said, Sinner covering the games handicap is a value bet.

Value bet/ the best odds: Jannik Sinner -7.5 games handicap @1.80 @bet365

Shelton – Sonego: 07.07.2025 15:30 CEST
H2H: 3-1

Ben Shelton has won three of his last five matches. This week, Shelton defeated Bolt in the opening round in tight straight sets. He trailed 3-4 in the opening set and was break down, but turned it around. In the second round, the American defeated Hijikata in straight sets. He was great under pressure, saving all breakpoints he offered. In the third round, Shelton defeated Fucsovics in straight sets. Besides losing his serve late in the third set, the American served well throughout the match. Last season at Wimbledon, the American lost against Sinner in the 1/8-Finals in straight sets.

Lorenzo Sonego has won four of his last five matches. This week at Wimbledon, Sonego won the opening match against Faria in straight sets. He offered and saved two breakpoints. In the second round, the Italian defeated Basilashvili in four tight sets after playing for over three hours. His toughest challenge came in the third round, defeating Nakashima in five tight sets after spending over five hours on the court. Sonego won all three sets through the tiebreaks.

Best Bet to Make

According to the bookies, Shelton is the favourite in this matchup, and we agree. He has not dropped a single set so far in the tournament. On the other hand, Sonego struggled against Nakashima in the third round and spent over five hours on the court. If Shelton performs well, we expect him to complete the job quickly today.

That being said, Shelton covering the games handicap is a value bet.

Value bet/ the best odds: Ben Shelton -4.5 games handicap @1.83 @bet365
