Berlin Ladies Open 2025: Entry List, Schedule, Results, Draw, Predictions, Prize Money and Where to Watch
Susan Mullane-Imagn Images

Taking place between 16-22 June, 2025, the Berlin Ladies Open is the next big tournament ahead of Wimbledon with many of the top 10 involved.

Aryna Sabalenka returns after losing the French Open final, she is flanked by Coco Gauff and a myriad of top names. It is a WTA 500 tournament with back-to-back big tournaments following Queen's.

Entry List

Most of the top names in the higher echelons of the WTA circuit are involved in Berlin and starting their Wimbledon run-in. Aryna Sabalenka will be top seed with a point to prove after losing out in the final of the French Open.

While Coco Gauff too after winning the French Open makes a triumphant return to action. Jessica Pegula decided against playing Queen's and was a late withdrawal presumably in order to start in Berlin instead.

While Jasmine Paolini, Mirra Andreeva, Madison Keys, Zheng Qinwen and Emma Navarro are also involved. Many of the Entry List also play in London during the opening week of the grass court season.

That includes Emma Raducanu who surprisingly won't play Nottingham and instead will play Berlin instead. A move likely buoyed by having both Mark Petchey and Nick Cavaday involved all grass court season and wanting to test her metal against bigger names in the German capital.

How to Watch

All WTA tournaments follow the same broadcaster pattern with Tennis Channel in the USA showing the event as well as Sky Sports in this case in the UK. Australia will be beIN Sports.

It differs slightly than usual UK tournaments with BBC showing the events for the most part from Queen's, Nottingham, Eastbourne but this reverts slightly for Bad Homburg, Berlin and other such events which take place in Germany and also Rosmalen for Libema Open s'Hertogenbosch.

Predictions

Samuel Gill, Head Editor of TennisUpToDate sees a revival for a key name.

Aryna Sabalenka will be out to prove a point and she often does. She hasn't played Wimbledon two out of the last three years and in reality if she is to bounce back from the disappointment of the French Open, it will start here.

Albeit I see likely some players like Navarro, Zheng Qinwen and Rybakina maybe starring in Berlin. There is the glamour of the bigger names but they have all played Queen's and so have all started their grass court seasons already.

Dependent on their runs in London as of time of writing, this perhaps gives them an edge compared to those who haven't made the switch as of yet over to the surface and will be going into a stacked field somewhat cold over the next week.

Also don't write off Jessica Pegula who has had a poor clay court foray at times but won this event last year and looked good in doing so. Her not playing Queen's on the otherhand could be a blessing in disguise.

Favourites:

*** Aryna Sabalenka

** Coco Gauff, Elena Rybakina

* Emma Navarro, Zheng Qinwen and Jessica Pegula
