The British Armada makes history at Wimbledon 2025, with the largest local representation in the main draws since 1984. A total of 23 players – 11 men and 12 women – will seek to bring local glory back to the tournament, with Jack Draper and Emma Raducanu as the main hopes.

Draper will be the 4th seed and can perfectly be considered a title contender. With strong performances on grass courts in the past and local support, he arrives at the best moment of his career to dream of a major. He debuts against Argentine Sebastian Baez and will have a potential clash with Novak Djokovic in the quarterfinals.

Among the men, there will be experienced names like Dan Evans, Cam Norrie, and Billy Harris, in addition to other rising young talents like 22-year-old Jack Pinnington and 19-year-old Henry Searle.

On the women's side, Raducanu is the British No. 1, although she did not secure a seeded spot. She will debut against local wildcard debutant Mingge Xu, who is just 17 years old and the youngest among the entire British contingent. Raducanu has a very tough draw, with the possibility of facing 2023 champion Marketa Vondrousova in the second round or a clash against Aryna Sabalenka in the third round.

Among the women, there will be a couple of other names to consider like Katie Boulter and Sonay Kartal, both Top 50 players who are just behind Raducanu. Other young names include Sonay Kartal and Francesca Jones.

However, there will be more local action, with several young players who surely aspire to emulate the feat of Andy Murray, the only British male to conquer Wimbledon in the Open Era (2013, 2016), while the last woman to do so was Virginia Wade in 1977, also being the only female champion to achieve it.
