Carlos Alcaraz & Emma Raducanu unite: US Open Mixed Doubles reveals star-packed lineup

The US Open has announced the pairings for its Mixed Doubles, featuring an innovative new format for the year's final Grand Slam. The lineup includes intriguing duos such as Carlos Alcaraz with Emma Raducanu, Jannik Sinner with Emma Navarro, and Naomi Osaka with Nick Kyrgios.

The US Open Mixed Doubles Championship entry window will close on July 28 at 12:00 ET, at which time the top eight teams with the best combined singles ranking at the time will officially be in the field/draw via direct acceptance.

A new incentive for top singles players

It was announced months ago that mixed doubles would see an increase in prize money as an incentive for top singles stars to participate in this smaller tournament, which serves as a preparatory event for their main singles campaigns.

The new format will be played the week prior to the start of the singles and main doubles draws (men's/women's). Matches will take place over two days, August 19 and August 20.

These will be much shorter contests, played as best of three sets to four games, with no-ad scoring, and tie-breaks at 4-4. Matches tied after the first two sets will be decided by a 10-point tie-break. With a $1 million prize for the champion pair, the USTA has seemingly cracked the code to attract the world's best players to mixed doubles.
