For the second year in a row, Carlos Alcaraz topped the list of the highest-paid tennis players in the world after amassing an estimated $48.3 million in earnings over the last 12 months.

According to Forbes, Alcaraz narrowly beat his biggest rival, Jannik Sinner, to take the spot. The Italian earned an estimated $47.3 million dating back to last year’s US Open, falling just short of Alcaraz’s number by about $1 million. Sinner, however, made a notable leap in the new standings. He moved up three spots from last year’s list and almost doubled the $26.6 million he earned in 2024.

The two men have distanced themselves from the rest of the tour in terms of accomplishments and earnings in the last two years. Alcaraz and Sinner have shared the spoils in Grand Slams since the 2024 Australian Open, with both bagging two Grand Slams each season in that time.

They contested the last three Major finals, and Alcaraz won their most recent one at the US Open, which earned him $5 million in prize money–the largest ever in a Grand Slam tournament. Alcaraz also replaced Sinner at the top of the ATP rankings.

While Sinner received more in prize money than any other player in the last 12 months ($20.3 million), Alcaraz made significantly more money than any other player away from the court. The Spaniard’s marketability is off the charts and is estimated to have banked $35 million from endorsements, appearance fees, and other business ventures.

Novak Djokovic sits fourth in the 2025 list, behind Alcaraz, Sinner, and WTA star Coco Gauff. The 24-time Grand Slam champion experienced a 20% decrease in earnings from last year’s tally. He earned $29.6 million in 2025. Despite competing in just 11 tournaments this season, Djokovic made most of his fortune off the court (he earned $25 million from sponsors and business endeavors and only $4.6 million in prize money).

Djokovic, 38, is also the only player who is aged 29 and above to feature in this list. Taylor Fritz (8th), Frances Tiafoe (9th), and Daniil Medvedev (10th) each earned over $10 million to finish in the top 10.
