Carlos Alcaraz extended his Wimbledon winning streak after overcoming Jan-Lennard Struff 6-1, 3-6, 6-3, 6-4, reaching the tournament's fourth round. The world No. 2 continues his quest for a third consecutive title at the All England Club, where he now boasts 17 consecutive victories.

Alcaraz's level appears unwavering as he remains on course for his sixth Grand Slam title. The 22-year-old was impeccable in crucial moments, ultimately securing a victory against a tough opponent, which propels him into the Wimbledon fourth round. He will now face Russia's Andrey Rublev (14th).

First Set

Struff arrived at the tournament as world No. 125, but with the understanding that his ranking doesn't necessarily reflect his true level. The German has faced several injuries in the past year but managed to deliver strong performances at Wimbledon up to the third round. The first set began with good service games from both sides, but Alcaraz quickly took control of the action.

"Carlitos" saved a couple of break points against him in the third game before beginning to impose himself from the baseline. Struff managed only 35% of first serves in, and Alcaraz capitalized, securing two consecutive breaks. With strong service games, he easily closed out the set 6-1.

Second Set

Things continued to improve for the Spaniard as he secured a break in the third game, putting him ahead. However, Struff reacted with a break back, leveling the score at 2-2. This time, the German landed more first serves and avoided too many long rallies when he was serving, winning several service games without too much trouble.

With the score at 4-3 in the German's favor, a break opportunity arose, and he seized it to pull ahead. Holding his serve flawlessly, he took the second set 6-3, putting pressure on his opponent.

Third Set

The two-time defending champion didn't want the match to slip away and played an almost impeccable third set on serve. He won 15 consecutive points on his serve before Struff could even win his first return point. A single early break was enough for Alcaraz to comfortably maintain his lead throughout the set.

Alcaraz clung to an early 3-0 lead and gave his opponent no break chances throughout the set. After 34 minutes, he closed out the set 6-3, sending everything to a fourth set, appearing clearly superior to his opponent.

Fourth Set

Struff wouldn't let the match slip away so easily and didn't give up in the fourth set. In fact, the German was the first to have a break opportunity, though he couldn't convert it. Everything remained even until 4-4, with neither player creating significant differences on their serve.

Alcaraz patiently waited for his moment, and the opportunity arrived in the ninth game. In the most contested game of the match so far, and after five deuces, Alcaraz found his first break point of the set and converted it immediately after an unforced error from Struff into the net. Alcaraz then comfortably closed out the victory on his serve 6-1, 3-6, 6-3, 6-4, advancing to the fourth round, where he will face Russia's Andrey Rublev.
