ATP and WTA stars are experiencing a transition week after the US Open campaign ended last week. While the men are competing in the Davis Cup with their countries, the women are split between those starting the Asian swing and those who will take the court to defend their countries in the Billie Jean King Cup.

Meanwhile, Aryna Sabalenka and Coco Gauff have opted for a rest after a hectic American hard-court swing, while Iga Świątek is already in Seoul, preparing for her next tournament.

Jasmine Paolini had a humorous momento with Boulter

Jasmine Paolini starred in a funny moment during the Billie Jean King Cup practice sessions when she asked her colleague Katie Boulter to take a photo of her by the net. In a moment shared on social media, you can see Paolini, laughing, ask her colleague to take a photo of her at the net after finishing a training session.

The tournament Finals are being held this time from September 16 to 21 in Shenzhen, China, and the teams from Italy and the United Kingdom are preparing to face their respective quarterfinal matches.

The defending champions – led by Paolini and Sara Errani – will face China – who will have the significant absence of Zheng Qinwen due to injury. Meanwhile, the British team, without Emma Raducanu, will face the surprise team of Japan, the only team that does not have a single top-60 player on its team (its highest-ranked player is Moyuka Uchijima, currently No. 93).

Iga Swiatek is in Seoul: preparing for her return

Iga Swiatek shared her first photos from Seoul as she prepares for her return to the courts for the Asian Swing. The 6-time Grand Slam champion hopes to regain her momentum in the final part of the season after a painful defeat in the US Open quarterfinals against Amanda Anisimova.

The Polish player had a good chance of returning to world No. 1 at Flushing Meadows, or at least narrowing the gap with Aryna Sabalenka, but her early defeat – and the fact that the Belarusian defended her title – ultimately left Swiatek far from reaching her. In any case, Swiatek is not defending points in the Asian swing and it will be a good opportunity to – free of pressure – earn points that will allow her to climb in the final part of the season and arrive at the WTA Finals with confidence.

Her first challenge will be in Seoul starting Monday, where Swiatek is the first seed and shares the draw with players like Ekaterina Alexandrova and Clara Tauson. “Hello from Seoul! It's super exciting to be for some time on tour and still be able to visit new countries and cities. Fighting jet lag starts now. ☺️”

Croatia and France compete in a hilarious 'Sandwich Challenge

The teams from Croatia and France were the stars of a fun video where they competed in a 'Sandwich Challenge.' Both teams tried to outdo each other with the best sandwich preparation. As they prepared for their qualifying round matchup, players like Marin Cilic, Corentin Moutet, and Arthur Rinderknech participated in the video challenge, which had a chef as a judge to determine who made the best sandwich, following the traditional styles of each country.

The series was decided this Saturday night, with Moutet's victory over Cilic securing the win for the French team and guaranteeing their passage to the Davis Cup Finals 8.

Coco Gauff shares a glimpse into her NYC life

Coco Gauff uploaded several photos of her last few days of rest in New York City after her fourth-round elimination from the US Open. The two-time major champion even appeared in a couple of photos with her boyfriend and received comments from none other than Olympic gold medalist Simone Biles and German tennis player Eva Lys. "I wanna play tag on a big playground with 8 people," Gauff posted.

The world No. 3 still has a week off before returning to the courts at the Beijing Open, where she will be the third seed and have the difficult mission of defending the title she won in 2024, defeating the Czech Karolina Muchova in the final.

Sabalenka's mom joins her in a sweet reunion

Aryna Sabalenka is still in celebration mode a week after winning the US Open title, becoming the first player in a decade to defend her Flushing Meadows trophy. The world No. 1 recently shared a couple of photos, proudly displaying her four Grand Slam trophies.

First, she posted a picture in a black dress, holding her two US Open trophies (2024, 2025). She followed that with another photo featuring her Australian Open trophies (2023, 2024). The Belarusian has reached the finals of the last six majors she has played on hard courts, winning four of them.

In other news, a photo was shared on social media by none other than Aryna's mother, Yuliya Sabalenka, who posted a couple of pictures of her reunion with her daughter after Aryna secured another major title.
