The WTA draw has been made for the 2025 French Open which is due to take place at Roland Garros between 25 May - June 8.

Iga Swiatek has won four out of the last five titles at the French Open with only Barbora Krejcikova winning a title at the French Open other than her. But she has been through a real crisis as of late.

She faces Rebecca Sramkova in the opening round. Then it could be a blockbuster tie with Emma Raducanu or Xinyu Wang in the second round. Swiatek has suffered damning losses since Miami when she lost to Eala including Danielle Collins and Coco Gauff in the last two events.

Speaking of Gauff, she is now World No.2 and faces Olivia Gadecki then Chloe Paquet or a qualifier in the second round.

Top seed is Aryna Sabalenka who faces Kamilla Rakhimova in the first round then either a qualifier or Jil Teichmann. Danielle Collins or Jodie Burrage / Leylah Fernandez or Olga Danilovic also sit in her section.

Jasmine Paolini opens against Yue Yuan then faces Ajla Tomljanovic or Maya Joint off the back of her Rome run. Jessica Pegula will face Anca Todoni then a qualifier or Ann Li. Ons Jabeur or Marketa Vondrousova is a good draw in her section from there on.

Qinwen Zheng is in Sabalenka's section and faces former finalist Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova then either Alexandra Eala or Emiliana Arango.

Mirra Andreeva faces Cristina Bucsa and then Suzan Lamens or Ashlyn Krueger in the second round as she aims to build on her semi-final run last year.

But there were some horror draws including Naomi Osaka v Paula Badosa and Belinda Bencic could cause Elena Rybakina an early exit. Rybakina is playing well this week in Strasbourg but Bencic has been superb in her return season.

Karolina Muchova on her return to Paris after missing last year due to injury faces Alycia Parks then it could be Maria Sakkari in the second round.

Swiatek sits in the same section as Jelena Ostapenko so could face her down the line as she finally aims to seal a win over her. So overall not the best complexion for the former World No.1 and Queen of Clay currently. She also has Rybakina in her section.

But with Sabalenka now the likely favourite for the title, how does she navigate that and how does Aryna deal with the added pressure.
