Elena Rybakina became the first Asian player to win the WTA Finals after beating the WTA No.1, Aryna Sabalenka, in the final. She did not lose a match in her campaign and delivered one of the greatest performances in the history of the WTA Finals. Thus, the star player ended the 2025 season on a high.
Ahead of the 2026 season, Rybakina posted a special message for the fans. The Kazakhstan star thanked the fans for their support and was proud to represent her country at the international level. She claimed that if her game inspires someone else to pick up the racquet, it would be her greatest victory.
"Dear friends, my beloved fans! Thank you to everyone for your incredible support – in the stands, in front of the screens, in messages, and in warm words after matches. I'm proud to represent Kazakhstan and give you emotions and victories. I'm especially happy when I see more and more players picking up racquets," Rybakina wrote on Instagram.
The former Wimbledon winner added that she has a small break before training hard for the 2026 season. She thanked the fans and her supporters for always standing by her side through highs and lows.
"If my game inspires you to dream, work hard, and believe in yourself, that's my greatest victory. I have a short break and new training ahead of me. Thank you for always being with me – in victories and through difficult times. Your trust is my support. See you on the court! Alga, Kazakhstan! Elena," Rybakina added.
