Emma Raducanu will team up with Mark Petchey on a continued basis with the former British No.1 confirmed to help her throughout the grass court season including Wimbledon.

As per The Telegraph, Petchey has combined broadcasting work with assisting Raducanu during her last three tournaments. He has made himself available for the entirety of the grass court swing without any commitments with tennis broadcasters.

Petchey doesn't work for BBC or ESPN for instance at the tournament so is free to join her at Queen's and likely if she enters Nottingham, Eastbourne and Wimbledon alongside Jane O'Donoughue another ally who works at the LTA.

This is welcome news for Raducanu and her supporters with stability after she broke ties with Nick Cavaday earlier this season. Raducanu has entered Strasbourg next week as a final build-up event before the French Open. She has also not been injured as much since hiring Yutaka Nakamura.

Petchey returned after being her coach momentarily during 2020 has also worked out so far. This is despite the Brit who worked with Andy Murray even commentating on her game with Tennis Channel.

He joined on an ad hoc basis in Miami two months ago and she has won eight matches from 11 so far. She reached the fourth round in Rome before losing to Coco Gauff and has not had a poor run so far this season.

Petchey will be present at the French Open as per the report. He will be working for TNT Sports, now part of the Discovery group alongside John McEnroe, Andre Agassi, Chris Evert and also Jim Courier. He will have to find gaps to assist Raducanu and given it will be shown in the UK on the broadcaster, he will likely have to commentate on her charge and it could clash with his coaching work at times.
