The Entry List has been confirmed for the WTA Eastbourne Open which is due to take place between June 23-28, 2025.

A main stay of Eastbourne since 1974's inaugural tournament, it is a WTA 250 this time around instead of a WTA 500 like it normally is. This means that it has suffered in regards to top talent attending it.

Ordinarily it would see top stars such as Iga Swiatek, Aryna Sabalenka among others play the week before Wimbledon as they are already in the UK. But with Queen's having WTA 500 status now, Eastbourne has been downgraded.

While Birmingham which now takes place this week is off the WTA main calendar entirely. So the field reflects that led by Barbora Krejcikova, the current Wimbledon champion. As of time of writing, she has taken on more of a fuller slate. This after spending all season until the latter stages of the clay off injured.

Daria Kasatkina is second seed who won the title last year. She beat Leylah Fernandez. Sofia Kenin, Magda Linette, Peyton Stearns and Ons Jabeur are among those who are also involved.

While Raducanu who was beaten by Kasatkina last year in the Quarter-Finals also returns. She takes a minor excursion playing Berlin in the middle week instead of Nottingham. But she will return to the UK to play Eastbourne prior to Wimbledon.

Presumably some big name wildcards might still come with players in Berlin or Bad Homburg potentially deciding to head to England to play a warm-up if their form is poor.

Jessica Pegula also for instance was due to be the big name next week at Queen's but has now withdrawn so sometimes it is not the good thing that it should be to announce huge names early.
