Tennis fans have criticized Morgan Riddle for capitalizing on the success of her boyfriend, ATP star Taylor Fritz, and the social media influencer finally shut down such claims by admitting to the act.
The couple began dating in 2020, and Riddle has been spotted at Fritz's matches as he travels around the globe. She is a prominent figure in his player's box, and often films content for her social media platforms as they travel around the world.
The 27-year old has gained a massive following online since she began dating Fritz. In an appearance on Olivia Molly Roger's Tell Me More podcast, Riddle opened up on her relationship with the top-ranked American tennis player.
"People say that I am capitalizing off of his career," began Riddle. "And I'm like, 'Yep, you know what? I am.' And he's okay with that. And I'm okay with that because, you know, it's—it's a partnership."
The clip quickly went viral, with hundreds of tennis fans lashing out at the internet personality for her blunt admission. However, there were a few who offered their support, stating she could not be faulted for making the most of her situation.
"I like her LOL," wrote one user on Twitter. "She could be doing nothing besides enjoying games and hanging with Fritz during his downtime, but she’s making a career out of it."
"She’s so funny Morgan riddle, please never change," wrote another user.
"They could never make me hate you, Morgan riddle," said another user.
"Admitting that you use your bf for clout and money is crazy," wrote another user.
The couple are currently in Italy, as Fritz is set to compete at the ongoing Rome Open.
