Darren Cahill’s legendary coaching career has peaked with Jannik Sinner, where he has overseen four Grand Slam victories.

The iconic Australian coach, who has also worked with Simona Halep and Amanda Anisimova, has worked with Sinner since 2022.

The pair, alongside Simone Vagnozzi, have helped Sinner compete with Carlos Alcaraz as one of the best players in the sport.

Darren Cahill will not work for ESPN at the Australian Open

Several tennis legends have been given the axe from ESPN ahead of the brand-new tennis season and the Australian Open.

Brad Gilbert and Pam Shriver have both confirmed their exits after several years with the iconic American sports institution.

Cahill will not work the Australian Grand Slam either for the first time since his debut with ESPN back in 2007.

However, Cahill is still reportedly with ESPN and hasn’t lost his broadcasting job.

According to ESPN sources, Sinner’s coach is expected to work with the company at major tournaments later on in the year.

Who will replace Darren Cahill, Brad Gilbert, and Pam Shriver?

Several stars from the past and present of tennis are being lined up to broadcast for ESPN at the Australian Open.

Recently retired American ace Chris Eubanks will join ESPN’s lineup of match and studio analysts, joining several high profile names.

John McEnroe, Chris Evert, Caroline Wozniacki, Mary Joe Fernandez, James Blake, Sam Querrey, and CoCo Vandeweghe are all expected to appear for ESPN.

The Australian Open begins Sunday, 18 January and runs for two weeks until the men’s final on Sunday, 1 February.
