Jessica Pegula shares sad passing of dog Tucker during time on the road
LaPresse

Jessica Pegula was dumped out of the 2025 Internationaux de Strasbourg by Anna Kalinskaya to continue a poor run as of late but she has also been dealing with losing her second dog in the past two years.

Pegula faces Anca Todoni in the first round of the French Open then takes on either Ann Li or a qualifier at Roland Garros. But she has a favourable section of the draw. She could face Marketa Vondrousova or Ons Jabeur later in the tournament then potentially Mirra Andreeva in the Quarter-Finals.

So in the former ties, Pegula will be hopeful of a favourable draw. But this sad news comes after she lost her first dog Dexter back in July 2023. She has three and now has one in the form of Maddie.

She shared a photo of herself with Tucker who passed away while she was away playing in Europe in a heartfelt message. "Just a few days ago we very suddenly lost Tucker. I’m so sad and honestly at a loss for words. Having both Dexter and Tucker gone now in such a short amount of time feels wrong in so many ways. Miss you and love you so much buddy. RIP," she wrote on Instagram.
