Voundrousova is the third unseeded player to win the tournament and the first since Goran Ivanisevic in 2001. Boris Becker won the men's title as an unseeded player in 1985.
She won the match after chasing down a return by Jabeur and hitting the ball to the corner opposite Jabeur.

Yahoo! Sports notes she's the lowest-ranked woman to win at Wimbledon, entering the tournament 42nd.
While stunning, Vondrousova's win fits the parity trend in women's tennis since Serena Williams won her final Grand Slam in 2017.
Crazy how wide-open women's tennis is right now. *Seventeen* different major champions since Serena won 23rd and last major in 2017.
