Nick Kyrgios announced Saturday that Venus Williams will be his mixed doubles partner at Wimbledon, according to Ben Rothenberg of the New York Times:

Williams is a two-time mixed doubles winner at Grand Slams, winning titles at the Australian Open and French Open in 1998.
Kyrgios, on the other hand, has never gone beyond the third round of a doubles tournament at a Grand Slam. During the 2020 Australian Open, he was partnered with Amanda Anisimova and was paired with Desirae Krawczyk at Wimbledon in 2019.
Both tennis stars will also compete in the singles events at the tournament. Kyrgios will face Ugo Humbert in the first round, while Williams will take on Mihaela Buzarnescu.
Wimbledon marks Kyrgios' return to competitive tennis after taking a break due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
