Novak Djokovic became the third player to qualify for the 2025 ATP Finals after exceeding the cut-off mark in the qualifying race.

The prestigious year-end tournament will be held in Turin, Italy, from November 9th, and will feature the top eight players in the ATP race.

World No. 1 Carlos Alcaraz was the first player to qualify at the season finale, where he is bidding to win his first title there, and was shortly joined by defending champion Jannik Sinner.

Djokovic is now mathematically assured a spot in the final eight and is ranked third in the race with 4580 points. The Serbian star has compiled a 33-10 record in 2025, reaching the semifinals at all four Grand Slams and bagging his 100th career title in Geneva.

Djokovic was also the runner-up at the Miami Open. While these accomplishments are decent, the former World No. 1 has set the bar so high that he is not content with minor triumphs.

Djokovic qualified for the ATP Finals, but will he play?

The 38-year-old guaranteed his qualification at the ATP Finals, having taken part in just 12 tournaments. This is his 18th qualification, tying Roger Federer’s record. But it’s unclear if he will commit to play.

Djokovic withdrew from last year’s tournament despite qualifying, marking the first edition of the ATP Finals since 2001 not to feature at least one member of the Big Three (the famous trio of Djokovic, Rafael Nadal, and Roger Federer).

What we know so far is that Djokovic will play one more ATP tournament before the end of the season. And that will be the ATP 250 in Athens, which was formerly held in Belgrade, but he has not ruled out participation at the ATP Finals in Turin should he qualify. The 24-time Grand Slam champion holds the record for the most titles (7) at the year-end championships.

Djokovic is currently in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, where he is taking part in the second edition of the Six Kings Slam exhibition tournament and will face Taylor Fritz to decide the third-place finish at the event later on Saturday.
