Rafael Nadal is already getting back on court? Well, he sure is hitting the gym with this Slovenian tennis player

Spanish maestro Rafael Nadal continues to make headlines as he was recently spotted at a gym alongside Slovenian tennis player Tilen Kovac. The youngster met the Spaniard while he was playing in a competition at the Rafael Nadal Academy. 

After a year on the sidelines courtesy of injuries, Nadal made a return to tennis at the Brisbane International where he was on a good run which was hindered by Jordan Thompson. That was the first lengthy match the 37-year-old had played in a while which caused a micro-tear near the place where he had an injury. This injury forced the former Australian Open winner to withdraw, raising many questions on his return. 

Recently, the picture was shared all over the internet where the Spaniard was spotted in the gym of his academy. Fans got excited from that one picture which hints at the player’s possible road to recovery from the micro-tear giving hopes of his return. With no actual update on Nadal’s current state, this is the picture that tells many stories giving rise to fallen hopes. With hopes for the ‘King of Clay’ to return before the start of the clay season, this is a good update for the fans. 

Rafael Nadal gets gifted with a steel statue with long-term automobile partner Kia

Since 2004, Rafael Nadal has collaborated with automobile company Kia and this year marks their 20-year anniversary. 

To honor that, Kia gifted the Spanish pro with a steel statue handcrafted by a local sculpture artist Gustavo Balboa. The sculpture made from reusable steel was a representation of Nadal doing his iconic forehand. Glad for their partnership, the company hopes to have more success as partners for the upcoming years.

The 22-time Grand Slam champion has not given any update on his current situation and possible return but according to a few whispers that have been circulating, the Spaniard is set to return soon. Former British player Laura Robson had some good news for all the fans out there. She revealed to have spoken to some of the Spanish coaches who revealed that Nadal might resume his season of comeback soon after the Australian Tour at Doha. With a lot of hopes for Nadal to return, it will surely continue to be one of the most awaited moments.
