Kendrick Lamar became the talk of town on social media for his halftime performance at Super Bowl LIX. It caught the attention of fans around the world due to a couple of surprising guest appearances.

Samuel L. Jackson arrived at the show in a narrator role that added an interesting concept to the performance. However, former tennis superstar Serena Williams also made an appearance that may have gone unnoticed, as she was one of Lamar's backup dancers.

Williams, who is 43 years of age, was spotted dancing under one of the street lights on the stage. It was a quick cameo but it was enough for sports fans to talk about it on social media.

Shortly after the performance, the seven-time Wimbledon champion posted her reaction to dancing in the Super Bowl halftime show. She was excited about being a part of the performance and claimed "I did not crip-walk like that at Wimbledon. That would have been fire!"

Lamar's show turned plenty of heads as he's been in a beef with Drake. The final song of his set, "Not Like Us," was written as a diss track toward the Canadian rapper. It was the first diss track to ever win a Grammy award. Additionally, Williams was famously in an on-and-off relationship with Drake from 2011 to 2015.

Regardless, Williams appeared to have fun as a background dancer for the Super Bowl halftime show. Since retiring from tennis, she's kept herself busy, creating a venture capital firm, a multimedia production company, and a makeup line.
