Marta Kostyuk seems to be enjoying her time away from the WTA Tour.
Kostyuk, 23, had a strong second half of the season that included a run to the fourth round of the US Open. She then made the Round of 16 at the China Open before losing a three-set thriller against Jessica Pegula. Following her early exit at the Wuhan Open, she posted a heartfelt message on social media.
"This season has been one of the most consistent and meaningful in my career. It wasn’t easy, but I kept showing up and doing the work, no matter what was happening around me," Kostyuk wrote on Instagram. "There were weeks when I didn’t even know if I’d be able to play, and moments that tested me in every possible way. But somehow, we always found a way through, and that’s thanks to the people around me. My team and everyone close to me kept me grounded and believed in me when I couldn’t. That kind of support gives you strength in ways words can’t describe."
After wrapping up the Asian swing of the season, Kostyuk took a trip to the Maldives.
Earlier this week, Kostyuk shared a handful of swimsuit photos on Instagram along with the caption: "Slow moments, sunshine, and a lot to be grateful for."
Unsurprisingly, this post from Kostyuk had plenty of people talking.

Kostyuk at the center of controversy.
During a recent interview with Tennis 365, Kostyuk admit that she's "intimidated” by the top players on the WTA Tour like Aryna Sabalenka and Iga Swiatek.
Kostyuk also suggested that some players have a "higher level of testosterone" than her.
“We all have our own biological structure,” Kostyuk said. “Some have a higher level of testosterone, some have lower. It’s just natural and that definitely helps. I feel smaller than them. I try to see how I can beat these players with the tennis skills I have, but I have to work harder to win the points. I have to run a lot more than them to win points.”
Kostyuk certainly has the talent to compete at Grand Slam tournaments. In 2024, she made the semifinals at the Australian Open. Can she be more consistent though against the best in the world? That'll dictate how far she goes in 2026.
