In fact, Nadal’s support staff has created confusion with their latest statement about his participation.

Nadal’s support staff says that the final decision has not been made yet. Despite the Spaniard hitting it well in the practice sessions and also beating Sebastian Korda in a practice set, the final nod has not been given. With the injury concern hovering around always, Nadal and the team are being cautious.

Rafael Nadal will hope to keep his record intact in Paris, if he plays

Although the doubts about his participation in the 2024 Roland Garros remain, Rafael Nadal and his fans will be hoping for him to make it to the court where he has enjoyed enormous success. If the Spaniard plays, he will want to keep his record intact.

Nadal is the most successful player at the French Open with a massive 14 titles to his credit. His overall record at Roland-Garros remains beyond compare at 112-3.

No other male player has won as many matches at a single Grand Slam, and Nadal’s 97.39 winning percentage in Paris is the best by any player at a single Grand Slam tournament. The Spaniard is an absolute beast when it comes to winning the final with a record of 14-0 in the Roland-Garros finals.

Also, four of Nadal’s 14 Roland-Garros titles have come without the loss of a set. That makes Nadal the only male player in the Open Era to have won more than three Grand Slam titles without dropping a single set. He didn’t drop a set in 2008, 2010, 2017 and 2020.
