Known for his volatile behavior and frequent outbursts on the court, Russian tennis star Andrey Rublev admitted to being aware of his actions and spoke more on the subject in his upcoming documentary.

Titled "Breaking Back", the piece will center around Rublev and his evolution on the ATP Tour. Furthermore, the former World No.5 will give his thoughts and take fans behind the scenes as he navigates the ups and downs of being a professional tennis player.

Tennis is his life, says Rublev

The Moscow native has had a successful run on the ATP Tour, currently sitting with 17 singles titles, which include two ATP Masters 1000 titles. Additionally, Rublev has reached the quarterfinals of all four Grand Slam tournaments, and won the mixed doubles gold medal alongside compatriot Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova at the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games.

Rublev is known for playing with passion, which sometimes bleeds into the court in the form of angry outbursts that see him smashing and eventually breaking his racket. Although the World No.15 is aware of his actions, he admits to feeling helpless during certain points, which lead to him reacting in that manner.

The 27-year old gave fans a brief preview of what to expect in the new documentary, as he spoke on who he was and why he worked so hard.

"Tennis is like my life," began Rublev. "There is nothing more important than tennis so every time I was going on court and things were not going my way; the feeling is like you're dying.
"And of course what do you do? You're at the peak of your stress, so you try to do everything to save your life. You're winning titles but inside you're surviving. Laying inside the bed, you cannot even rest because it's nonstop.
"I still love it, I still want to achieve as best as I can but in a healthy way, not in a struggle way."
