
While Jannik Sinner – the men’s Australian Open champion from 2025 – continues his quest to repeat as the winner of the first tennis major of the year, the women’s side won’t have a repeat champion.
American Jessica Pegula beat her countrywoman Madison Keys in the fourth round of the 2026 Australian Open, guaranteeing Keys won’t be able to follow in the footsteps of Arnya Sabalenka as a back-to-back champion.
