Jannik Sinner successfully defended his Six Kings Slam crown on Saturday, beating Carlos Alcaraz in a rematch of last year’s final.

He came out on top again, taking the match 6-2, 6-4.

The Italian will now shift his focus to the Vienna Open, where he is the top seed and considered the player to beat. Despite that status, his first-round draw is no walkover.

Meanwhile, Alcaraz is expected to return for the Paris Masters later this month, with play set to begin on October 27.

Saturday’s match was already their sixth meeting of the year. While Alcaraz has won four of those encounters so far in 2025, this was Sinner’s second victory over him this season.

Tim Henman says Jannik Sinner’s play was a bigger factor than anything Carlos Alcaraz got wrong

During Netflix’s coverage of the Riyadh tournament, former British number one Tim Henman commented on the result, highlighting Sinner’s strong performance.

He said: “In the third game of the match, he was up 0-40, he got that break of serve from Alcaraz and then went from strength to strength.

“It’s great to see their competitive spirit, you can see them on the side of the court there, congratulating each other’s teams and the hugs.

“It’s a tough night at the office for Carlos Alcaraz, but a brilliant performance from Jannik Sinner.”

Henman also noted that Alcaraz struggled to mix up his play against Sinner, while also giving credit to how well Sinner performed.

“To think about variation or changing up the speed or spins, it’s so difficult when playing at these types of fast altitude, as it’s been all week.

“Then add to that you’re up against who I think is the greatest ball striker in the game right now.

“Sinner was playing at full power and pace, and I think this was much more to do with the quality of Sinner’s performance than anything that Alcaraz did wrong.”

Jannik Sinner’s prize money after back-to-back Six Kings Slam titles

Jannik Sinner has taken home a substantial payday following his second straight Six Kings Slam title.

Sinner collected a total of £4.5 million, with £1.1 million coming from his appearance fee and an additional £3.4 million for lifting the trophy, according to BBC Sport.

Sinner’s path to the final saw him get past Stefanos Tsitsipas in his opening match before taking down Novak Djokovic in the semi-final.

After seeing off Alcaraz again in the final, Sinner will have the chance to make it three in a row at the 2026 event.
