What a special week its been for tennis legend Venus Williams.
Returning to the court on Tuesday night to collect her first singles win in two years at the DC Open, the 45-year-old Williams became the second-oldest woman in the sport's history to claim victory in a tour-level singles match.
"I'm just constantly praying for good health, so that way I could have an opportunity to play with good health," Venus said in front of the crowd in the nation's capital . "A lot of this for me is being able to come back and try to play at a level [and] to play healthy. ... I wanted to play a good match and win the match."
But that wasn't all. She also revealed some exciting relationship news when it comes to her now fiance Andrea Preti.
"My fiance is here," Williams shared (via TMZ Sports). "He really encouraged me to keep playing. There was so many times where I just wanted to coast and kinda chill. Do you know how hard it is to play tennis? You guys don't know how much work goes into this. It's 9 to 5 except you're running the whole time."
Venus also shared that it was the first time the "Temptation" actor watched her play live — with interviewer Rennae Stubbs calling him her "good luck charm."
It's great to see Williams winning both on and off the court. Her next match will be against fifth-seeded Magdalena Frech on Thursday where she'll attempt pull off another impressive upset over a player almost 20 years her junior.
