Watch: Dayana Yastremska bizarrely finds Coco Gauff's earring during monumental Wimbledon win

Coco Gauff didn't only lose her opening match at the 2025 Wimbledon Championships but the American also lost her earring on court.

At 7-6, 4-1 in favour of the Ukrainian Dayana Yastremska who found her way past Gauff in one of the main upsets of the tournament so far, she paused play briefly and looked to have found Gauff's earring on her side of the court.

In the heat of battle realising is one thing and it seems Gauff didn't realise that she'd actually lost it in the end. But then she went on to lose the match in one of the most shock laden Wimbledon Championships of all time.

Most of the top seeds especially in the men's have now crashed out lending to a new record being set for the amount of top names who have departed the tournament. While some even on the women's side aren't a shock in regards to their past record at the tournament and also their form coming in, their seed value still provides it as a shock.

Gauff lost to Wang Xinyu in Berlin last week but even then came in as only being stopped by Emma Navarro last year and also winning the French Open. An upturn in form for the American and one she would hope to build on but certainly not this year at SW19.
