Dominant Iga Swiatek extends her fabulous 2024 run as she makes it to the quarterfinals of the Indian Wells. The Pole is yet to drop a set, as she has beaten all her opponents in straight sets and looks to continue that momentum for the upcoming rounds.

After a vengeful victory against Linda Noskova in the second round, Swiatek was up against Yulia Putintseva in the third round. From the get-go, the match was in favor of the Pole. She dominated in the first set, giving away only one game.

Despite a slow start, Swiatek held it together and saved four break points to keep the pressure on her opponent. She even got Putintseva to throw her racket on the ground out of frustration as she concluded the first set in nearly 30 minutes.

The second set was no different either, as World No. 1 remained on top of her opponent. Putintseva did try a few variations to change her game style, but Swiatek remained unfazed by all her cheeky moves and continued to shine through.

In one game, the Kazakhstani tried to surprise Swiatek with a random underarm serve. However, Swiatek remained unfazed by this and won it like any other point. She asserted her dominance in the game, winning 6-1, 6-2, to advance to the quarterfinals and try her luck for a spot in the semi-finals.

Dominant Iga Swiatek books a spot against Caroline Wozniacki in the quarter-finals

Top seed Iga Swiatek swatted aside Yulia Putintseva to reach the third consecutive Indian Wells quarterfinal. She now faces the returning star Caroline Wozniacki, who seems fresh since her return.

Wozniacki came out of retirement to continue her career in tennis. However, she has yet to win a tournament.

The Dane seemed in good touch in California, as she made it to her first WTA 1000 quarterfinals since 2019. However, unfortunately, she now has to face the dominant World No. 1 Iga Swiatek, which might prove to be quite challenging for her.

2022 Indian Wells winner Swiatek made it to yet another quarter-final in the desert. She has always found amazing form in this tournament and hopes to get one huge victory ahead of the court shift. With that being said, there is no denying that it is going to be another nail-biter.
