Italy’s tennis star Lorenzo Musetti’s interview was interrupted by his son at the Rome Open. The ongoing ATP 1000 event is moving towards the business end, where the remaining players are giving their all to secure the ultimate prize.

Musetti started his campaign on a winning note after beating Otto Virtanen in straight sets with a score of 6-3, 6-2. The 23-year-old was then interviewed by The Tennis Channel, which was interrupted by his newborn son, who wanted his mic. The adorable video was shared on the social media platform.

Musetti is going through an impressive season, at least in the recent past, where he had an incredible run at the Madrid Open and qualified for the semifinal. While doing so, he managed to cement his place in the top-10 in ATP rankings and became the second Italian to achieve that feat. His win in the round of 16 against Australia’s Alex de Minaur in straight sets with a score of 6-4, 6-2, ensured that he would keep his place in the top-10 in the ATP rankings. After that match, he spoke to the media and admitted that he had no idea that he would be able to secure a spot in the top-10 in the ATP rankings.

"Honestly, I didn't know that winning this match would make me top-10,” he said back then. “Possibly, if I had known, I wouldn't have played so well. I think it has been one of the best matches of my entire life. I really enjoy playing in these conditions, and with the mindset I currently have, I believe I can keep winning matches. I don't want to think about anything other than how well I'm feeling right now.”

Musetti is now set to face off against America’s Brandon Nakashima in round 32 of the Rome Open. The 23-year-old cemented his spot in the next third round after being awarded a walkover against Australia’s Jordan Thompson.
