The former Australian Open finalist appeared at Monfils door with his golf equipment, thinking that his French compatriot is going on holiday now. Mofils humorously replied: "Don't you understand? The holidays are next year."
This is followed by tributes from the three, starting with Simon. "Monf, it's soon the end of a long adventure," he said. "I wish you all the best in your last season. Enjoy to the fullest all the emotions you'll get to feel everywhere, where you'll play one last time at certain tournaments that truly mean a lot to you. It's soon going to be a page that turns, but it's not over yet. So go and enjoy it."
Gasquet followed in suit, as he said: "Listen my Gael, I remember you the first time we met. We were 12 or 13, I remember playing mini tennis with you and since then, I've had so many moving memories with you that were just incredible. And next year at Roland Garros, at La Defense, and at all the tournaments you'll play at, we'll be there with the friends you know, always to celebrate you, to celebrate your immense career. We can't wait, we really can't wait to be there."
Svitolina also shared a message to her partner. "It's going to be a very fun and very enjoyable last year for you and for us as a family and for all the fans, and it's going to be super exciting," she said. "I'm really looking forward for you to step onto the court. It's going to be exciting, it's going to be sad, of course. It's not going to be easy for me, personally, but it is going to be full of enjoyment, and I'm very happy to be by your side."
Finally, Tsonga said: "It's been a pleasure sharing all these years with you, but I know in the end, it's not the end, it's just a beginning. We'll finally have some time to spend together. Enjoy now, enjoy your partner, enjoy your kids. Now you can make the most of it, live it up. You've earned it, my friend."
