'You never know': Katie Boulter sparks buzz about potential Wimbledon comeback with fiancé Alex de Minaur

Katie Boulter has refused to rule out featuring in the mixed doubles category at Wimbledon 2025 with fiancé Alex de Minaur. The third Grand Slam of the year will commence on June 30, featuring players from around the world competing to secure the ultimate prize.

Boulter, who is currently taking part in the Queen’s Club Championship, was asked by reporters whether there is a chance of playing with her fiancé, De Minaur, in the doubles category at Wimbledon. In response, the 28-year-old stated that the two had not had a conversation about it. “You never know,” she said, as quoted by the Daily Express. “I don’t think we’ve ruled it out, but I don’t think we’ve had a conversation about it, so we do need to have a chat about it."

Boulter and De Minaur have played together in different events in the past. They have also featured together at Wimbledon. In the 2023 edition, Boulter and De Minaur’s journey in the mixed doubles category ended in the second round as they lost to the pair of Joran Vliegen and Xu Yifan with a score of 6-3, 4-6, 7-6.

Boulter has featured in two different categories at the ongoing Queen’s Club Championship. In the doubles event, she and her partner Emma Raducanu’s journey came to an end on Wednesday as they lost to the pair of Erin Routliffe and Lyudmyla Kichenok in the quarterfinals in straight sets with a score of 6-2, 7-5. However, in the singles category, she is still alive and will face fifth-seed Diana Shnaider in the round of 16 on Thursday. Boulter defeated Ajla Tomljanovic in the round of 32 with a score of 6-7, 6-1, 6-4. On the other hand, Shnaider defeated Magdalena Frech in the first round in straight sets with a score of 6-4, 6-1.
