Poland’s Iga Swiatek is proving her critics wrong after having an impressive time at Wimbledon. The 24-year-old cemented her spot in the fourth round of the third Grand Slam of the year after beating America’s Danielle Collins in straight sets with a score of 6-2, 6-3.

With that performance, Swiatek has now equalled her best performance at Wimbledon, and she will be hoping to improve that when she takes on Denmark’s Clara Tauson in the fourth round. After securing the win, Swiatek was in a great mood, and she spoke about her love for strawberries. She then revealed her favourite dish, which was strawberries with pasta and yoghurt.

“Why is it such a big thing? Everybody should eat [strawberries and pasta] that,” said Swiatek while talking to the media after the win over Collins. “I think in summer kids are eating it a lot. I don’t know. It’s just a perfect mix of tastes.” Swiatek was then asked which country has better strawberries, Poland or England. In response, the former world number one chose her country and explained the reason as well. “Honestly, I think Poland,” said Swiatek. “Because we have better climate for strawberries, right? Now Wimbledon is probably going to ban me from answering these questions.”

Swiatek later shared a picture of her meal on her Instagram account, captioning it: “You should try it guys — pasta, strawberries, a little bit of yoghurt.” Swiatek, while talking to the media, also explained the reasons behind her impressive show at Wimbledon this year. Swiatek also explained that her run to the final of the Homburg Open is also playing a key role in her feeling good on grass.

“I was just in the zone,” said Swiatek. “I knew what I wanted to play and I knew I needed to be brave and just let my hand do the job. Play fast and grab it from the beginning. You can’t let Danielle play her winners. I’m really happy with the performance because there were no ups and downs. It’s much more fun this year. I had some practices where the ball was listening to me, which was pretty new on grass. I’m just looking for that feeling for the matches as well and today was a good day. In Bad Homburg, I played many good matches so I’m getting confidence. It’s a new experience feeling good on the grass.”
