Earlier this month, sports fans learned that Olympic track star Sha'Carri Richardson was arrested at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport.

Richardson, a two-time Olympic medalist, allegedly shoved a man after getting past airport security. It was later reported that she was arguing with her boyfriend, world champion sprinter Christian Coleman. This happened just a few days after Richardson competed in the opening round of the U.S. track and field championships in Eugene, Oregon.

Coleman recently spoke to the media about this incident. He refused to throw Richardson under the bus.

"For me personally, I feel like it was a sucky situation all round," Coleman said, via USA Today. "I don't feel like she should have been arrested. I mean people have discussions and emotions and stuff like that. She has things that she needs to work on for herself, of course. So do I, so do you, so does everybody. But I'm the type of guy who's in the business of extending grace, and mercy and love."

On Aug. 7, TMZ obtained footage from Richardson's dispute with Coleman.

The footage from Seattle-Tacoma International Airport shows Richardson getting in Coleman's face. Although he tries to remove himself from this situation, Richardson eventually shoves him into a wall.

According to TMZ, Richardson was charged for fourth-degree assault and spent about 18 hours at the South Correctional Entity in Washington.

"Richardson advised she did not assault him in anyway and the dispute was only a verbal argument," the police said in official documents.

We'll see if Richardson can move past this incident and perform up to her standards during this September's world championships in Tokyo.
