Publisher Focus Entertainment announced that A Plague Tale: Requiem, which was released in October 2022, surpassed the milestone of three million copies sold – a strong number for the stealth title. Focus took this opportunity to reveal that its partnership with developer Asobo Studio will go on: “Seizing this moment, we're delighted to reveal our renewed collaboration with Asobo Studio for another exciting project!”
The French studio located in Bordeaux not only created A Plague Tale: Innocence and its 2022 sequel, but is also the developer behind Microsoft Flight Simulator and The Crew.
A heartfelt thank you to the 3 million players who embarked on the haunting journey of #APlagueTaleRequiem! Your support and passion mean everything to us.

Asobo is known to be working on Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 at the moment. It’s currently unclear if the new project with Focus is a third entry into the A Plague Tale series or something different.
A Plague Tale: Requiem received five nominations at The Game Awards 2022, including one for the prestigious Game of the Year trophy, though it could not bring home any of the awards in the end. By November 2022, the game had already sold over one million copies, so things seem to have gone pretty well in the meantime.
A Plague Tale: Requiem is a single-player action-adventure game with heavy stealth elements, in which players have to try and escape the inquisition in plague-ridden France to save the main character’s little brother. Compared to the original game, the stealth aspect took on a much more important role in the sequel.
