Alpha Pokémon are reportedly returning in Legends: Z-A, according to Centro LEAKS. The Alpha Pokémon feature previously debuted in Pokémon Legends: Arceus, but the mention of “Rogue Mega” evolutions has piqued everyone’s interest and has the Pokémon world rumbling once again. These mysterious new variants are sure to cause havoc for new and seasoned trainers alike, and we can’t wait.
For those who haven’t played Arceus, here’s what to expect when it comes to Alpha Pokémon. Alpha variants, as seen previously, are larger than their normal counterparts and more aggressive, with increased stats and intimidating glowing red eyes. Offering more challenges and giving better rewards, Alpha Pokémon encounters were a favorite feature among players. While they may have a new title other than “Alpha,” fans can be assured the features will be the same.
The only reveal on the “Rogue Mega” Pokémon was the title, which would presumably imply that the Pokémon is no longer under the control of its trainer. These new variants will be encounterable through story mode, according to the report. However, that’s all there is to report at the moment, as there has been no official information from Nintendo. What we can assume is that Legends: Z-A is sure to shake things up the way its predecessor did, as many players are already excited to see what these new evolutions entail.
As of now, there’s not much more to go on. All we can do is wait for an official Nintendo announcement or more leaks for more information. Regardless of the validity of the leak, it’s a safe bet players will see the beloved return of Alpha Pokémon, and will await more news regarding the new “Rogue Mega” evolutions.
