Palworld Vixy location
Vixy lives in the scarlet forests around the Desolate Church fast travel marker. The image at the top of this paragraph shows where that is in more specific detail. They’re pretty common, so you should be able to find 10 for the big first-time catch XP bonus in just one sweep of the forest. They’re also low-level Pals, coming in at around level 3 or thereabouts. Capturing or defeating them should present few problems.
You may also find Vixy in dungeons. I ran into several in the beach dungeon just south of where your journey begins on the Windswept Plateau, including a large boss Vixy at level 13. You can capture boss Pals in Palworld, so if you happen to run across a boss Vixy yourself, don’t let the fight end without tossing a few spheres.

How the Palworld Vixy ranch trick works
Vixy is a Normal-type Pal who offers little in combat, but their special combination of abilities makes them worth catching. Vixy has the Gathering work ability and Dig Here skill. With Dig Here, Vixy will burrow down and come back with something good, usually a Pal Sphere or helpful material. Gathering means they take all this to your storage box, so you don’t have to.
If you assign Vixy to your Palworld ranch, they’ll spend all day digging and, in our experience, they almost always come up with Pal Spheres, enough to where you don’t have to craft them yourself anymore. That frees up your Paldium and stone resources for other items, which is always helpful.
If you build a Pal Condensation machine – unlocked in the technology tree at level 14 – you can merge several Vixy together and upgrade their Dig Here ability. While they’ll still only dig up Pal Spheres at higher partner skill levels – not Mega or Giga Spheres – they’ll dig up a lot more of them than usual.
Pocketpair calls Vixy the "idol" of the islands, but outside of digging for treasure, that's about all you can do with them.
